Panel 2: Dad: "Of course, lots of things could happen, but most don’t." Kid: [looking thoughtful]

Panel 3: Dad: "Or anyway interesting things are rare, rare by definition." Kid: [still looking thoughtful]

Panel 4: Dad: "Most things that could happen to you are boring, sad, or both."

Panel 5: Dad: "Given enough time, probability will crowd the interesting out for it."
