Comic #3594: center-of-the-universe
Description
Here’s the transcription of the comic:
Panel 1: Girl 1: "I mean, we're the pinnacles of creation! We are the only ones who can feel, and reason, and use language."
Panel 2: Girl 1: "On top of that, Earth is the center of the universe!" Girl 2: "The moon, the sun, the planets, and the stars all revolve around us."
Panel 3: Girl 1: "And yet, for all that, we feel purposeless. Pointless. Like none of it matters. We're the core of reality, but as individuals we feel lost and tragic." Girl 2: "Yeah, but hey, imagine how you'd feel if none of that stuff were true."
Panel 4: Girl 1: "I suppose I'd just seek mild amusements as a diversion from the specter of death." Girl 2: "What a nightmare."
The comic expresses themes about human existence and existential thought through a conversation between two characters.
